Harnessing the power of Jerusalem’s dynamic business and tech ecosystems, JHub aims to launch a cadre of future business leaders and entrepreneurs to disrupt the status quo and forge meaningful change. We accelerate innovation and foster leadership by boosting potential…one career at a time.
Nestled in the heart of Jerusalem’s dynamic hi-tech scene, the JHub Summer Fellowship Program provides a unique opportunity for undergraduate students to put business, leadership, and entrepreneurship principles into practice within an integrative learning ecosystem by developing their own startup idea with the guidance of top innovators.
An 8-week program in which Fellows partner with leading Israeli technology companies, venture capital firms, disruptive tech players, and professional services firms to design new ventures that deliver a double bottom-line value proposition. Fellows will learn to identify a market gap, develop and deliver an innovative solution, identify the go-to-market opportunity and build a business model to deliver value to the targeted range of stakeholders.
With the guidance of JHub faculty and the MassChallenge accelerator, Fellows will ideate and develop new ventures whose economic returns create substantial market value while driving social impact. These ventures will be tailored to achieve double bottom-line ambitions, meaning they both target financial profitability and create social impact in one of the following areas: Education, Literacy and Empowerment; Environment and Climate; Human Rights and Reduction of Inequalities; Clean Energy/Water/Sanitation; Poverty and Hunger; or Good Health and Wellbeing.
Fellows will work in small teams to to develop their concept which can be product- or service-based, and consumer- or B2B-facing. The ventures may be true tech plays, technology-enabled, old-school brick and mortar, or next-gen digitization. The possibilities are endless and we encourage and empower the Fellows to think at an audacious scale.
Throughout the program, the Fellows will undergo meaningful training based on the combination of traditional Jewish values and Israeli innovation that have come to define the unique atmosphere of Jerusalem. The immersive experience affords the Fellows a significant encounter with Israeli society, the dynamics shaping its future, and the innovative pulse propelling it forward. A life-altering experience that can jumpstart your career and enhance your life.
Upon successful completion of the program, Fellows join the ranks of an ever-growing alumni and advisor network, enabling unparalleled networking and connectivity. The teams with the most promising projects will have the opportunity to continue developing their projects and make them a reality once the program is over.
Each day will be diverse and experiential, and will include the creative and professional elements that make up the core of the program. Some of the training sessions will take place in smaller groups and others will be for all of the Fellows together.
The approximate weekly schedule will be as follows:
Sundays – Tours and trips with a focus on leadership training and connection to Jewish identity and Jerusalem
Mondays-Wednesdays – On-campus sessions (on topics including ideation, market research, product-market fit, business models, and more)
Thursdays – Study tours at companies and VC’s and meetings with players in the Jerusalem ecosystem
